Control Panel:

We have Digital & manual control panels for different types of diesel generators. The DSE701 is a Manual/Auto Start Generator Controller that offers an excellent range of engine monitoring and protection features.

The Generator Control module has been designed to monitor

• Low oil pressure of the genset,
• High generator engine temperature,
• over speed and a user defined auxiliary input.
• It also has the capability to monitor battery charging by utilising the WL terminal on the charge alternator.

When the Generator Control detects a fault condition it automatically shuts down the generator engine. The module also includes a remote start signal input. The input allows the module to be started from a pre-defined remote location.

Operation

Manual Mode:

• The module is started using the on-board key/buttons
• The user turns the key to the hand position
• The generator engine pre-heat button is then pressed for the required time
• The start button is then pressed to start the diesel engine
• To stop the generator engine the key needs to be turned to the off position

Automatic Mode:

• The key needs to be permanently left in the hand position
• The module is powered up by the remote start signal
• The pre-heat function is automatically carried out and then the generator engine is started
• To stop the generator engine the remote switch is turned to the ‘off’ position

ATS & MTS:

A.T.GENERATORS offers a full range of transformers used for the diesel generators. We also supply Automatic Mains Failure (AMF), load sharing and more.

• Single Phase Automatic Transfer Switches
• 3 Phase Automatic Transfer Switches
• Automatic Transfer Switches are an integral part of the power generation process, allowing smooth and immediate transfer of electrical current between multiple sources and the load. When the generator is operating, the transfer switch prevents dangerous feedback of current to the utility’s system. It also ensures that different power sources are fully synchronized before their power is combined or loads are transferred, which is imperative for safe operation.
• The transfer switches sense when utility power is interrupted, and starts up the generator if the utility power remains absent. In about five to ten seconds, when the generator is producing full power, the transfer switch disconnects the load from the utility and connects it to the generator, restoring electricity to the load. The transfer switch continues to monitor utility power, and when it is restored, switches the load from the generator back to the utility. Once the generator is disconnected, it goes through a cool-down routine and is automatically shut down the generators.
• By combining ATS with our own diesel generators, we are able to offer a complete power generation package that we support and warrant.

Synchronizers

A.T.GENERATORS Perform different types of synchronizing projects between the diesel generators.

• Direct upgrade/replacement using custom synchronizing panels
• Engineered upgrades of legacy synchronizing systems using automatic synchronizing relays
• Engineered upgrades of synchronizing systems using utility-grade PLCs for multiplexing multiple generators

Synchronizing panel will operate on an automatic mains failure system, so that when the main supply is interrupted on one or all phases (after an adjustable delay period) the generator sets will start-up together. After an initial warm-up period (adjustable) the generators will synchronize with each other by means of motorized circuit breakers or contactors onto a common buss bar. Next, the motorized change-over switch will be closed and the load connected to the main distribution box.

The load share units continuously monitor the load and during low demand periods one or two generators will be shut down to save on fuel consumption. As demand rises again the second generator and third generator will be restarted, synchronized and reconnected to load. When the AMF control unit detects that the main supply has been restored an adjustable observation period is activated before the main supply is reconnected. A cool down period will then follow, after which the generator sets will be shut down.
